Pakistan women cricket team opener Javeria Khan Wadood played a brilliant and unbeaten 133-run knock as Pakistan recorded a convincing seven-wicket triumph against Sri Lankan counterparts in the third ODI of the three-match series in Sharjah on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka batted first in the match and put on board a competitive total of 242 runs in 50 overs losing five of their wickets. Sri Lanka captain AC Jayangani played an impressive 99-run knock. HASD Siriwardene produced some late fireworks scoring unbeaten 39 off 28 balls with the help of two sixes and a boundary. Pakistan skipper Sana Mir and Asmavia Iqbal captured two wickets each.
In response, Pakistan reached the victory total easily in 47.2 overs with seven wickets in hand – thanks to opener Javeria Khan and captain Sana Mir for their unbeaten and impressive knocks. Sana scored 51 runs. HASD Siriwardene captured two wickets as Sri Lanka tried nine bowlers during the match.
With this victory, Pakistan has sealed the three-match ODI series 3-0 after recording five-wicket and 12-run triumphs in the previous two encounters.
