PCB extends central contracts to women cricketers

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Women’s Wing has announced central contracts for women cricket team players for calendar year 2015, with across the board increase in remunerations.

In all, 21 women players have been offered the contract. These contracts have been given to women cricketers for their outstanding performance and progress they have shown in domestic and international events throughout the year 2014.

The one-year contract is effective from January 1, 2015 and is divided into four categories.

Pakistan women cricket team captain Sana Mir, Bismah Maroof, Javeria Wadood and Asmavia Iqbal have been placed in Category A.

Nida Rashid, Sadia Yousaf, Sumaiya Siddiqui, Marina Iqbal, Syeda Nain Fatima Abidi and Sania Iqbal received Category B contracts.

Kainat Imtiaz, Sidra Nawaz, Rabiya Shah, Anam Amin, Naila Nazir, Sidra Amin and Nahida Khan got Category C contracts.

Fareeha Mahmood, Maham Tariq, Aliya Riaz and Iram Javed were given Category D contracts.
